Vector90 Aviation was created from firsthand experience with what makes maintenance organizations succeed: disciplined systems, strong leadership, technical knowledge, and people who are prepared to perform the work.

Cameo Jordan Combs is the Founder and CEO of Vector90 Aviation, bringing more than a decade of hands-on and leadership experience in aircraft maintenance, inspection, quality control, and technical operations. As an FAA-certificated Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanic with Inspection Authorization (IA), she has worked across major airline operations, engine overhaul facilities, and FAA repair stations. Her background includes leadership in quality control at United Airlines, operational oversight in engine and airframe maintenance, and extensive expertise in regulatory compliance, maintenance documentation, and process improvement. This combination of technical knowledge and operational leadership has shaped her vision for building an aviation company founded on safety, quality, and continuous innovation.
Driven by a passion for strengthening the future of aviation, Cameo founded Vector90 Aviation with a vision that extends beyond traditional aircraft maintenance. While beginning with an established avionics operation, her long-term strategy is to grow Vector90 into a diversified aviation organization that includes FAA-certified avionics, machine shop, non-destructive testing (NDT), and propulsion capabilities. Equally important is her commitment to developing the next generation of aviation professionals through workforce development initiatives that connect students with meaningful industry experience. She is also building engineering research and development partnerships with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), creating opportunities for students to collaborate with aviation professionals on real-world technical challenges and future aerospace innovations. Through Vector90 Aviation, Cameo is working to build a company that advances technical excellence, expands career pathways, and contributes to the long-term growth and resilience of the aviation industry.
The aviation industry faces challenges that extend far beyond maintaining today’s aircraft. While the demand for highly skilled technicians continues to grow, there is also a need to inspire the next generation of innovators, engineers, and entrepreneurs who will shape the future of aerospace. Vector90 Aviation was founded on the belief that aviation companies can play a larger role by not only providing technical excellence, but also helping develop talent, encourage innovation, and create opportunities for those who have traditionally been underrepresented in the industry.
Vector90 Aviation is building an aviation company with a long-term vision that extends beyond a single maintenance discipline. Beginning with an established avionics operation, the company plans to expand into additional FAA-certified capabilities, including non-destructive testing (NDT), machine shop, and propulsion services. Each stage of growth is designed to strengthen the company’s technical capabilities while creating new opportunities for collaboration, workforce development, and innovation.
The future of aviation will be shaped by the next generation of technicians, engineers, innovators, and entrepreneurs. Vector90 Aviation is investing in both people and ideas through hands-on workforce programs and engineering R&D partnerships with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). These efforts are designed to connect students with real-world aviation challenges, emerging technologies, and opportunities to create new solutions. By expanding the conversation beyond careers to include innovation, entrepreneurship, and ownership, Vector90 aims to help build a stronger and more forward-looking aviation industry.
Vector90’s goal is to build more than a successful aviation company. We want to create an environment where talented people can gain meaningful experience, learn from industry professionals, solve real aviation problems, and discover opportunities they may not have known existed. As our technical capabilities grow, we want aviation operations, mentorship, workforce development, and engineering research to work together, giving people the opportunity not only to enter the industry, but to improve it. Ultimately, we hope to inspire future technicians, engineers, innovators, and entrepreneurs to develop new technologies, create intellectual property, lead organizations, and build companies of their own, helping aviation evolve in ways we have yet to imagine.
“Aviation has given me opportunities I never imagined for myself, but throughout my career, I’ve also seen incredible talent go unrealized simply because the opportunity wasn’t there. I love this industry, from solving difficult problems to knowing that work done correctly helps keep people safe. I believe that when we open the doors of aviation to talented people from all backgrounds, and give them the opportunity to build, innovate, and lead, there is no limit to what we can change for the better.”
